BEYOND THE LENS

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Derek has been an entertainer nearly all of his life.  Whether he's acting or singing, Derek has a natural ability to win over an audience, by displaying a sense of genuineness in his performance.  He began his career​ as a singer, and credits the highlight of his singing career to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he sang the National Anthem in front of 40,000+ people.

Derek has always had a knack for acting!  He captured the lead role in his first ever stage play, and the responses he received helped solidify his decision to put the microphone aside, (but not too far) and pursue acting as a career.  His early success in the television and film industry is a constant reminder that anything can be accomplished, if you are dedicated and have perseverance.
